Chickens were immunized with highly purified bovine serum albumin isolated from normal pooled bovine serum. The antibodies were immunoaffinity purified from a solid phase immunoabsorbant and conjugated to N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS)-activated agarose beads. Beads were washed extensively after the blocking of the residual NHS sites.
