Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm in diameter and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens.
Immunogen: Influenza B virions, Yamagata strain.

Formulation: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.5, 0.1% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
Purification Method: Purified IgG fraction, ~95% pure.

Immunofluorescence: 1:500 Optimal concentration should be evaluated by serial dilutions.
Positive Control: Recognizes Influenza B virions. Does not react to Influenza A, RSV or Parainfluenza viruses.
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C
Product Stability: Antibodies are stable for one year from purchase if stored frozen
